Located in the heart of Hollywood, Chef Jason Travi with restaurateurs Dave Reiss, and designer Sean Knibb introduce littlefork (1600 Wilcox Ave., Hollywood; 310.465.FORK). littlefork celebrates the flavors of the Atlantic Northeast with a name that references the small cocktail fork used for the shellfish that is eaten throughout the region. The restaurant offers a distinct yet minimalist design with a warm and inviting atmosphere in the main dining room, bar area and patio. Proprietor Dave Reiss (A-Frame, Sunny Spot, Alibi Room, The Brig) had Venice‐based design/build firm Knibb Design to create the space and Paul Pruitt consultanted on the concept development and oversees operations. Sean Knibb and his team have designed a fresh, elegant, and minimalistic space that works with Travi’s menu. Stylistic, but not cornered into one particular genre, the design is focused on your experience, showcasing an innovative space that references a familiar feeling. Balancing natural and unique materials with cool colors and warm textiles, the result is a clean, comfortable, celebratory environment, where the food is at the centerpiece of every table. The menu features small plates, large plates, and bar snacks as well as house smoked meats and fish. Executive Chef Jason Travi makes his return to the Los Angeles dining scene with a menu that pays homage to his home of Boston and the emerging flavors and culture of Montreal. Enjoy signature dishes like Crispy Oyster Sliders with tartar sauce; Clams Casino with cracker stuffing and bacon, Portuguese Mussels with linguica chickpeas and beer, Applewood Smoked Brisket with three mustards, and Smoked Sturgeon with Johnny Cakes.
