The Americana at Brand is opening Din Tai Fung (889 Americana Way, Glendale; 818.637.8982) this coming Monday. The New York Times says it’s “one of the top ten restaurants in the world,” and ranked #1 in the inaugural “101 Best Restaurants in Asia” by The Daily Meal. So I guess we better get our butts there! Din Tai Fung is a contemporary 6,800-square-foot designed-space with a clean and open-air Asian aesthetic. There’s also patterned wood screens and floor-to-ceiling glass walls that will seat approximately 160 people across its main dining area, full bar and private entertaining space.
While offering traditional steamed dumplings that made Din Tai Fung famous, The Americana at Brand menu will have Chinese entrees like Juicy Pork Dumplings, Veggie and Shrimp and Pork Shao Mai; Noodle with Minced Pork Sauce; Shanghai Rice Cake with Chicken and Shrimp, and Pork Wonton in Spicy Sauce, ranging from $7-12. Other favorites include pot stickers, noodles, wontons, fried rice, soups, and fried noodles. Plus, new to the menu, try the Truffle dumpling!
Additionally, Din Tai Fung at The Americana at Brand has an expansive new bar program offering a variety of traditional and Asian-style cocktails, while non-alcoholic options will include boba beverages as well as slushies in a variety of Asian flavors.
Open for lunch and dinner Monday-Friday, 11 am-10 pm, Saturday, 10 am-10 pm, and Sunday 10 am-9 pm.
