San Diego’s Burger Lounge (8539 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles) is opening Monday with a green, sustainable meaty way of doing things. They are a Certified Green Restaurant which means they met strict requirements in areas like energy efficiency, packaging, sustainable ingredients and recycling.
With the slogan “We do a common thing uncommonly well,” they are joining the upscale comfort food trend these days. They use organic ingredients and locally sourced, grass-fed beef that are topped with simple ingredients so the beef’s flavor isn’t lost. It’s a pretty straight forward menu, with 2 beef burgers (small or large), a quinoa veggie burger, a salmon burger, turkey burger and chicken tenders. They also serve salads, fries, onion rings, floats, milkshakes, beer and wine. (with the highest item on the menu at $8.95)
Open Sunday-Thursday, 10:30 am-11 pm and Friday & Saturday, 10:30 am-3 am.
