Los Angeles area kids are gearing up to hold lemonade stands all over the city this summer to raise money to help fight pediatric cancer (L.A. Loves Alex’s Lemonade Kids’ Campaign has raised over $300,000 in the last four years). These kids are following the example of Alex Scott, a young girl who raised more than a million dollars to help other kids who suffer from the disease that took her life at age eight, pediatric cancer.

Alex Lentz, daughter of renowned chefs Suzanne Goin and David Lentz, grew up attending the annual culinary cookout with her family. In recent years, she followed in her parents’ footsteps in a big way by chairing the local Kids Campaign. To further her fundraising efforts, the high school senior partnered with local restaurants to donate $1 from the sales of one of their most popular food and drink items to benefit the Kids Campaign.
