Golden Road Brewing (5430 West San Fernando Rd., Los Angeles, 90039) is a giant new indie-beer factory in Atwater Village that is having their grand opening party this Sunday. Come meet the brewers, try the beer, grab some food and tour the brewery. This is the largest manufacturer of craft beers in LA with 3 barns pumping out 20,000 barrels of brew just this year alone. Sunday they’ll be premiering their first 2 beers, Golden Road Hefeweizen and Point the Way IPA.
In addition to Golden Road, a few other breweries are participating like Firestone Walker, Oskar Blues, Hangar 24, Sierra Nevada, Eagle Rock Brewery, Dogfish Head, Stone and Beachwood Brewing. Flatiron Truck and Mandoline Grill will be serving up food. A portion of proceeds go to CA Small Brewers Association and Los Angeles Brewers Guild. October 16, 2-7 pm. $25 at the door and includes three, 10 oz. beer pours and a take-home Golden Road Brewery glass.
