Crypto.com Arena Celebrates 25 Years With a New Era of Entertainment Excellence in Downtown LA

As Crypto.com Arena marks its milestone 25th anniversary, Downtown Los Angeles’s premier entertainment venue is unveiling a series of spectacular renovations and immersive experiences that elevate the guest experience to new heights. From cutting-edge technology to chef-driven culinary adventures and VIP Tours, this iconic arena continues to redefine what’s possible in live entertainment.

A Legacy of Champions and Historic Moments

Since opening its doors on October 17, 1999, with an electrifying Bruce Springsteen concert, Crypto.com Arena has been home to countless historic moments. The venue has hosted six Lakers NBA Championships, two Kings Stanley Cup victories, and three Sparks WNBA Championships. Perhaps most poignantly, the arena now features the stunning Kobe and Gigi Bryant statue at the newly christened Kobe Bryant entrance, a touching tribute to the Lakers legend and his daughter.

Multi-Million Dollar Renovations Transform the Fan Experience

The completion of phase three of its nine-figure renovation project brings exciting new amenities to every level of the arena. The stunning City View Terrace offers breathtaking views of the downtown LA skyline while providing an innovative indoor-outdoor social space. Premium spaces like the Yaamava’ Club by San Manuel and expanded Lexus Club deliver elevated experiences for VIP guests.

Revolutionary Culinary Adventures at Crypto.com Arena

Food and beverage offerings have received a major upgrade, with the introduction of several exciting new chef-driven concepts. As someone who’s tried it all, I can’t stop raving about Doritos After Dark™, the first-ever Doritos restaurant. Chef Wiley Bates III and his team carefully curated a menu where Doritos are the star of each recipe. Think Doritos Sushi, Doritos Burritos, Doritos Chicken Bites, Doritos cocktails, and my two favorites, the Doritos Nacho Cheese Crunchtastic Vanilla Cone, and the Doritos Flamin Hot Nacho Veggie Dumplings.

And that’s not all. Celebrity chef David Chang’s fuku® brings its famous spicy fried chicken to the City View Terrace, while acclaimed chef Ludo Lefebvre expands his arena presence with Ludobab and Trois Familia concepts. Fresh Brothers also joins as the exclusive pizza partner, ensuring premium quality slices for every event.

Cutting-Edge Technology Enhances the Guest Experience

The arena’s commitment to innovation is evident in its new technology implementations. A state-of-the-art center-hung scoreboard featuring 41.7 million pixels provides crystal-clear viewing from every angle. The introduction of Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology at multiple locations, including the new LA Cooler Market and South Park Market, streamlines the concession experience.

Sustainability and Safety Take Center Stage

Environmental consciousness remains a priority, with the arena becoming the first in Southern California to implement a full-time reusable cup program. The partnership with r.World has already shown impressive results, with over 23,000 single-use cups diverted during just two concerts in 2023.

Looking Ahead

Major Events on the Horizon The future looks bright for Crypto.com Arena, with an impressive lineup of events scheduled through 2028. The venue will host the 2025 GRAMMY Awards (its 22nd time), the 2027 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Regional, and both men’s and women’s gymnastics competitions during the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

VIP Tours: A New Way to Experience the Arena

For the first time in its 25-year history, Crypto.com Arena is offering exclusive VIP Tours to the public, providing unprecedented access to areas previously off-limits.
