The Lobster Santa Monica Celebrates 25 Years of Stunning Views and Juicy Seafood

As a Los Angeles lifestyle blogger, I’ve had the pleasure of dining at many of the city’s finest restaurants. But few can compare to the iconic The Lobster in Santa Monica. Known for its stunning views and juicy seafood, the restaurant is currently celebrating not one, but two milestone anniversaries. This year marks the 25th anniversary since its significant expansion to its stunning second-story location, and incredibly, The Lobster is also commemorating its 100th year in its original spot – a remarkable achievement for any restaurant worldwide. A Landmark at the End of Route 66

Situated at the intersection of Route 66 and the Pacific Ocean, The Lobster has been a cherished landmark for locals and visitors alike for decades. Its prime location offers mesmerizing 190° panoramic views of the Santa Monica Pier and Malibu coastline, making it the perfect spot for seafood lovers and sunset enthusiasts.

Culinary Excellence Recognized by Michelin

Under the masterful guidance of acclaimed Executive Chef Govind Armstrong, The Lobster has elevated its menu to new heights. The restaurant’s commitment to culinary excellence was recognized with a prestigious Michelin Plate award in 2019, and it continues to be listed in the Michelin guide. This accolade is a testament to the exceptional quality of their juicy seafood offerings and innovative cuisine.

Celebrating in Style: National Lobster Day and Beyond

To mark these momentous occasions, The Lobster hosted a special celebration on National Lobster Day, 9/25. As a fortunate attendee, I can attest that the event was both fun and delicious. We were treated to complimentary tastings of Executive Chef Govind Armstrong’s favorite dishes, including Shrimp Cocktail, fresh Oysters and Mussels, juicy Sliders, and zesty Ceviche. The cocktails, courtesy of Tequila Mi Campo, Hedonistas De La Fe, and Harvey and Harriet Wine, perfectly complemented the exquisite seafood.
