Bay Area Favorite Square Pie Guys Brings Their Signature Detroit Style Pizza to Los Angeles for a One Night Only Takeover of Hot Tongue Pizza

Square Pie Guys, the Bay Area staple for Detroit-style pizza, is coming to Los Angeles for a one-night-only takeover of Hot Tongue Pizza. Various prices; Thursday, 5 – 9:00 pm; 2590 Glendale Blvd.

The menu for the evening consists of:

  • The Cookout Pie: BBQ chicken, red onions, pickled jalapeños, cookout corn sauce, a drizzle of housemade BBQ sauce, and green onions. 
  • Samin’s Summer Pie (a collaboration with James Beard Award & NYT Contributor Chef Samin Nosratfeatures white sauce, spicy cherry tomato salad, and a sun-dried tomato vinaigrette drizzle. Chef Samin Nosrat’s pizza has all the elements: Salt, Fat, Acid, and Heat. 5% of proceeds go to Oakland International High School.
  • Spicy Pepperoni: Square Pie Guys Pepperoni with red sauce 
  • Square Pie Guys will also serve a twist on Hot Tongue’s vegan cauliflower wings, seasoned with their signature lemon pepper or Szechuan seasoning.
  • The menu will be paired with Montepascolo Toma Rosso Frizzante 2019, a mildly sparkling red that complements the menu’s vibrant and creative spirit.

A.O.C. Presents the Schaner Family Farm Dinner with Special Guests Peter & Dominic Schaner

A.O.C., Los Angeles’ pioneering small plates restaurant and a leader in the city’s dining scene since 2002, proudly presents The Schaner Family Farms Dinner. Chef/Owner Suzanne Goin and Executive Chef Javier Espinoza draw inspiration from the Schaners’ exceptional produce for this special event as well as from beloved Schaner-focused dishes from over the years.
