I recently had the pleasure of attending the launch party, and it was an unforgettable experience. The rooftop was buzzing with excitement as we mingled and enjoyed delicious bites inspired by Chrissy Teigen’s cookbook, Cravings. I indulged in the most delectable Ahi Tuna Tacos and addictive Macaroni and Cheese Balls while sipping on the refreshing LVE Wines.
“Throwdown of the Legends Cook-Off”
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the “Throwdown of the Legends” cook-off between John Legend and Executive Chef Anthony Keene. The two culinary masters went head-to-head, preparing one of John’s favorite dishes from Cravings, a mouthwatering Beef Wellington from scratch.
John’s Favorites Wine Pairings
As the sun began to set, John sat down for an intimate conversation, where he shared his favorite wine pairings. His favorite wine is LVE’s Cabernet which he pairs with the Beef Wellington. He also said the Rosé is perfect for sipping while cooking and complements Chrissy’s Fried Chicken. And he loves to pair LVE’s Sparkling Rosé with brunch favorite Fried Chicken and Waffles, and spicy Thai food.
A Time Was Had
It was then time to eat! We were treated to Beef Wellington, Fried Chicken with Honey Butter, Risotto, Pasta with Miso Clam Sauce, and a selection of heavenly desserts. Between the mouthwatering food, delicious wines, stunning city views, and lively photo booth, it was the perfect summer evening.
