White Elephant and Hey Hey Tea House Collaborate on Summer Crudo and Tea Pairing

Temperatures are rising in LA, and to kick off the season, modern Thai restaurant White Elephant has teamed up with contemporary tea house Hey Hey to launch the ultimate summer pairing: “Dreaming Pineapples” tea with King Crudo! Guests who dine at White Elephant can enjoy both items, available as a pairing or separate, throughout July. Inspired by the season’s freshest seafood and tropical weather, this pairing was developed to evoke refreshing, bright, citrus, and umami flavors and frothy textures, reminiscent of a summer sorbet soda. The King Crudo is crafted with Harimasa, scallop, orange, yuzu coconut vinaigrettesquid ink oil and caviar, which gives the dish layers of tangy and fruity flavors that are brought out by Dreaming Pineapples’ tropical notes, due to the tea’s blend of pineapple, lemon, lightly carbonated condensed milk and house-made herbal jelly. Various prices and hours (through 7/31) at the Anaheim and DTLA locations
