On Friday, July 12th, a star-studded crowd celebrated the 25th anniversary of the iconic film Jawbreaker at Sunset at the EDITION. Hosted by F.L.U.I.D., a newly launched independent production studio and film fund dedicated to LGBTQIA+ stories, and Planoly, the leading social media management platform for creators, the evening cocktail party served 90s nostalgia with a vibrant mix of VIP, industry insiders, and creators. The event featured writer/director Darren Stein alongside stars Rebecca Gayheart, Julie Benz, and Judy Greer, commemorating the queer cult classic whose campy style has made it a beloved staple in LGBTQIA+ cinema.
Guests enjoyed themed cocktails and cupcakes, danced under a sea of disco balls, and took photos in front of the step-and-repeat. The event honored the lasting impact of Jawbreaker on the LGBTQIA+ community and its significant contribution to queer cinema.
