On Sunday 2/4, music and food will come together for a perfect symphony to celebrate the 66th annual GRAMMY Awards. Crypto.com Arena and Levy Restaurants will showcase a selection of chef-curated food and beverage items to be presented to artists, industry leaders, presenters, and guests in luxury and event suites, on music’s biggest night. Yesterday, I was amongst a select few invited for an exclusive sneak peek of this opulent menu.
Led by the culinary maestro himself, John Anderson, Crypto.com Arena’s Senior Executive Chef, the menu titled DTLA Crescendo Collection, is a love letter to Downtown Los Angeles’ unique flavors, with each dish meticulously crafted to harmonize with the city’s vibrant spirit. The menu transcended mere food to become an orchestration of flavor, texture, and artistry.
Taste the Music: The DTLA Crescendo Collection
Highlights include tender 42-ounce Fire-Roasted Long-Bone Tomahawk Steaks, Wagyu Asada Torta, Chicken Adobo, and Ginger Glass Noodles. Seafood lovers can indulge in the succulent Catalina Spiny Lobster, Stone Crab Claws, Pacific Lobster and Charred Octopus Ceviche, Hamachi Poke, Oysters on a half shell, Filipino Snapper, Tiger Shrimp Pupusas, and the Night Market Pacific Crab Salad. There are also several delicious vegetarian options including the Venice beach “Pulled” Mushroom Focaccia, Little Tokyo Plant-Based Katsu, Heirloom Tomato Salad, and Grilled Artichoke Antipasto.
Guests can also experience an extravagantly luxurious celebration with sustainably sourced Caviars from Israel, complemented by locally crafted Santa Barbara Smokehouse Salmon and house-made fresh cured Salmon Gravlax. They can indulge in the Caviar Opulence package, complete with two bottles of chilled Perrier-Jouet Brut Champagne, for an unforgettable gourmet experience.
Specialty Cocktails
But the performance wasn’t complete without the perfect libations. Four specially crafted cocktails complemented our meal. Standouts include the Grammy 66 (Malfy Rośa Gin, St Germain, Fresh Lemon Juice, and G.H. Mumm Grand Cordon Rosè), and my favorite, the Skrewball Rock N’ Roast Martini (Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, Kahlua, Nespresso Espresso, and a Gramophone Stencil Design). Their flavors, as diverse as the DTLA music scene itself, painted a picture of electrifying energy and artistic flair.
“And the GRAMMY Goes to….”
This exclusive glimpse into the menu for the GRAMMY Awards left me not only satiated but exhilarated. While the DTLA Crescendo Collection menu may be reserved for the stars, the music’s magic is for everyone. Tune in to the 66th Annual GRAMMY Awards on 2/4 at 5:00 pm PST on CBS.
