Gallery 33 at The Georgian welcomes you to view Edge No Edge, an exhibition of fifteen new original works by local artist Kurt Larsen. Having last shown at the Hammer Museum in 1995, this new show marks Larsen’s return to the LA art scene, offering a glimpse into the perceptual experiences that emerge as light and spatial effects bend around tonal choices and hard-edge/no-edge transitions. The work focuses on the difference between seeing and believing through concentric stripe and fade paintings inspired by the artist’s early years of painting surfboards during the dayglo ’80s.
