There’s a new boozy brunch near me, and it’s the perfect way to start Sunday Funday.
Baltaire, Brentwood’s “contemporary restaurant with classic genes,” welcomes you to a Sunday boozy brunch featuring an expansive & airy indoor-outdoor restaurant space, beats by DJ @cottrellguidry, a mouthwatering prix fixe menu, and tantalizing add-ons, like a Champagne cart!
Start with a Shared Spread
Our boozy brunch began with a Paloma Slushy shot before enjoying a delicious spread of Hummus, Babaghanoush, Labneh, Zucchini Bread with whipped honey butter, Whipped Feta with pistachio dukkah, pomegranate, Seasonal Citrus Salad with wildflower honey, and Gravlax with warm blinis, and chive crème fraîche for the table. For an additional charge, seafood lovers can build their own savory Seafood Tower with Jumbo Shrimp, Ahi Tuna Poke, King Crab Cocktail, Deviled Lobster Salad, Sea Bass Ceviche, Lobster Cocktail, and Chilled Oysters, or order a tin of Caviar.
Brunch Cocktails: A Roaming Bloody Mary and Champagne Cart
For those like me who like some kick to their brunch, for an additional cost, try the roaming Bloody Mary cart complete with house-made Bloody Mary Mix, a range of hot sauces and horseradish, and garnish options like celery, bacon strips, meat and veggie skewers, and the biggest and juiciest jumbo shrimp! Bubbly lovers will fall in love with the Champagne cart overflowing with bubbly for endless Mimosas!
The Entrées and Dessert
For my entrée, I chose the succulent Maine Lobster Omelette which was pure decadence, every bite a burst of ocean-fresh goodness. My friend had the juicy Prime Filet and Eggs, which she said was cooked to juicy perfection. Other entrée options include KC’s French Toast, Mahi Fish Tacos, Wagyu Cheeseburger, Prime Filet Benedict, and the Greek Salad.
And let’s not forget the grand finale, Powdered Beignets like fluffy clouds, perfect for dipping in their 3 heavenly sauces, and smooth Butterscotch Pot de Crème. The desserts were so good they had us seeing stars. We were too stuffed to keep going, but make sure to ask for the Secret Colossal Cinnamon Bun with icing poured at the table. It’s called colossal for a reason…
Simply put, the boozy brunch at Baltaire isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience. It’s clinking glasses to good times, grooving to beats that make your soul sing, and indulging in food that’s so good, that your taste buds will throw a celebration.
