Step into the Ring: Rumble Boxing Burbank Opens Its Doors to Knockout Workouts and Fitness Fun!

I recently had the opportunity to take a Rumble Boxing class at the newly opened Burbank studio, and I was blown away. The class was so much fun while still being challenging. I punched out my frustrations, sweat out calories, and felt great afterwards. If you’re looking for a new and exciting way to get in shape, look no further than Rumble Boxing Burbank.

Co-founded by expert fitness leader Noah Neiman, he designed a workout where he could “Hit stuff, listen to hip-hop, and do dope things with dope people.” The result was Rumble Boxing, a high-energy, full-body, boxing-inspired group fitness class that combines the intensity of boxing with the fun and motivation of group fitness.

What is Rumble Boxing?

I know boxing can be intimidating, but that is not the case at Rumble Boxing Burbank. The staff is friendly, and your teacher will be there to greet and pump you up before you enter the boxing room. You don’t need to bring anything except maybe a water bottle, as the studio provides wraps, gloves, and towels. Designed for all fitness levels, the 45-minute long classes are a full throttle combination of 10 rounds of boxing and strength training held in a dark room illuminated by fluorescent lights. The classes are set to Rumble’s custom playlists of high-energy hip-hop and house mash-ups played through a mega-watt sound system. The class is divided into two groups – bag side and floor side, with corresponding monitors placed around the room to serve as each group’s guide and motivation.

Led by an experienced and certified trainer, you’ll first learn the six basic punches before doing a group warm up. Those on the bag side will glove up, and follow along with the basic boxing combinations displayed on their monitors. To protect your wrists and hands, Rumble uses tear-drop style, water-filled punching bags giving you a much smoother punch than other boxing studios. The strength training rounds include bodyweight exercises, such as squats and lunges, jumping jacks and jump squats for cardio, free weights, and ab exercises like crunches and planks. The two groups rotate back and forth, ensuring you get equal time on the bag and floor.
