Huckleberry Bakery and Café Serves Weekly Supper

Huckleberry Bakery and Café is cooking and baking up a variety of new offerings for supper that are hot and ready to eat right away on-site or take home, as well as some fun, comforting dishes made-to-order from the kitchen. The team is excited to become the early evening destination for the Santa Monica community, where you can pop by for a quick snack or meal with the kiddos, enjoy a casual dinner over a glass of wine with friends, grab something to-go, or stock up on gourmet provisions. Basically, we tried everything, and here are our thoughts… Huckleberry’s menu strikes a nice balance between nourishing, farmers’ market-driven food you could eat daily with more indulgent fare with a variety of mouthwatering hot and cold prepared foods like the Braised Brisket with caramelized onions & carrots, Seared Salmon with winter citrus, toasted coconut, peanuts & Fresno chilies, alongside vibrant, seasonal sides, such as the oooey gooey Macaroni & Cheese, tasty Schmaltz Fried Potatoes, Beet Salad with shaved fennel, pistachio pesto, and grapefruit, and an array of vegan items like the Tandoori Cauliflower, Cucumber & Herb Salad, the bold the robust Kale Salad with pickled red onion, walnuts, golden raisins, and white vinaigrette, and the Soba Noodles made with snap peas, cucumber, bok choy, carrots, peanuts, green onion, and sesame vinaigrette. Dishes made-to-order include Garden Fresh Vegetable Wraps with fife, quinoa, avocado, red pepper, feta & broccolini, Fried Chicken Sandwiches, and Executive Chef Catie Randazzo’s incredible Smash Burger with special sauce, housemade pickles, shaved red onion & Little Gem lettuce on a Milo + Olive brioche bun. There wasn’t a morsel of food left as we cleaned our plates. Although everything was exquisite, my personal favorites were the Macaroni & Cheese, Seared Salmon, and Kale Salad. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!
