Bombay Beach – Homestyle Indian Cuisine with an LA Vibe

Let me start out by saying I love good food. To me, if you can create an explosion of taste in my mouth and make me want to keep coming back for more, you can consider me a customer for life. Throw in a hip, LA vibe and music, and I may never leave! This is how I feel about Bombay Beach, the super cool new Indian fusion restaurant in DTLA.

Open since 2018 and run by husband and wife, Angat and Gurpreet Gaada, Bombay Beach isn’t your typical Indian Restaurant. They’re known for homestyle Indian Cuisine, mixed with an LA vibe. Their innovative fusion dishes include: Butter Chicken, Samosas, Chicken Tikka Tacos, Tandoori Chicken PizzaPeshwari Naan, Lamb Biryani, Acai Bowls and more! And for you vegans, Bombay Beach is the perfect spot! With items like the Vegan Tikka Masala, Chana Masala and Vegan Chicken Masala, you will have more than your share of delicious items to eat.

To be honest, it’s hard to tell what is my favorite item on the menu, being that I devoured everything that came my way. Everything is jam-packed with flavor, and just the thought of the food brings a smile to my lips. It’s not just the cuisine that keeps me wanting more, the ambiance is warm and inviting, while still having a hip LA vibe. The restaurant has an open kitchen and as your food is being prepared, you can watch as the cooks and wait staff dance along to the music playing. It’s hard to sit still in your seat as the music makes you want to move. In fact, while dining, a table next to us was so moved that two of the patrons got up and started dancing. We couldn’t help but clap and sway along.

I ask you this, do you love Indian Food, or are you curious to try it for the first time? Head to Bombay Beach and prepare to be blown away! $13.95+; 1338 W. 7th St., Los Angeles, CA 90017; 213.378.0555
