Starting this Thursday, August 22, at Double Take in the Hotel Palomar, the Pen 2 Paper Project will be launching their four-part series of events, “A Nourished Spirit”, where the attendees will take part in a creative writing journey while enjoying delicious food and drink pairings that go along with the theme of the night.
The Pen 2 Paper Project came about when Jayne Portnoy, its founder, realized the growing lack of compassion and intimacy in today’s digital world and was inspired to change it one postcard at a time. Each night of the series will have a particular theme, such as Love Letters to LA, which will be paired with LA inspired cocktails and wine. Got writer’s block? Let Double Take and lead bartender Sarah Mengoni handle that with their specialty mixed drinks to go along with their delicious menu, sure to let loose your creativity. And as if your spirit needed more nourishing, all proceeds for the events will go to the charity C-Cap LA, dedicated to the empowerment of underserved youth through the culinary arts/service.
