Caffe Concerto, a hip hideaway just off of Wilshire, has become a staple in the Ktown area. Helmed by Ivy Kim and Chris Kim, who earned his stripes farming award winning Kona coffee beans in Hawaii, Concerto offers more than just another premiere cafe. There’s also a restaurant, bakery, and a full bar all in one relaxed locale which makes it perfect for a date night or catching up with friends.
The restaurant offers a full menu of fine Italian cuisine with a Korean twist and seafood dishes from small plates to pizzas to fuller entrees. Most popular are the grilled squid, scallops, and if you love shrimp, you might want to try the shrimp basil pesto pizza. For something heartier, you can’t miss with the 16 oz bone in ribeye or any of the seafood pastas. Leave some room because the bakery makes all of its desserts in-house and features various tarts, pastries, cakes, and over twenty different varieties of macaroons, which are quite possibly the best in the city.
If you’re looking to change it up for a more upbeat vibe, go to the full bar area adjacent to the dining area, and you’ll never need to leave. If you want to share the love with others, you can even reserve the top floor for private parties and corporate events.
