The Institute of Culinary Education Los Angeles will be opening its doors to the public for the first time to give you a “Taste of Korea,” a complimentary event featuring three one-hour cooking demonstrations celebrating the craft of Korean cuisine. Immerse yourself in Korean culture as culinary experts from around the globe—including Michelle Choi, President of the NY Korean Culinary Association, and Seonghee Jeong, Owner & Executive Chef of Brothers BBQ Restaurant and Brothers Shabushi Restaurant—demonstrate the staples of Korea’s culinary traditions. Taste Korean delicacies and learn the techniques and history associated with Korean cooking, from the abundant collection of side dishes known as “banchans,” to tofu specialties and fermented soy-based sauces called “Jangs,” as well as traditional tea service and Korean confectionery. Enjoy Italy without the flight when two Michelin star chef Antonio Mellino of Quattro Passi comes to Nerano’s kitchen in Beverly Hills to prepare a week-long exclusive tasting menu.
