The Fifth Element at Hollywood Cemetery
The Fifth Element depicts 23rd-century New York on the brink of cosmic destruction. Sound in Focus
KCRW returns to Century City this month for three outdoor concerts in Century Park, held in conjunction with the Annenberg Space for Photography. The series kicks off this weekend with a headlining performance from Grammy-winning R&B artist Miguel, an opening set by Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist Gabriel Garzón-Montano and DJ sets by Stretch Armstrong. SheLift SoulCycle Charity Ride
Sarah Herron will be hosting the first ever SheLift SoulCycle Charity Ride at the Culver City studioSarah is known from ABC’s The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise for being the first contestant with a physical disability. Sarah was born with Amniotic Band Syndrome, but it hasn’t stopped her from climbing mountains, skiing double black diamonds, and even searching for love on television. Kombucha and refreshing snacks will be served after the 45-minute indoor cycling class and you will have the chance to meet and greet with Sarah. Some lucky attendees will receive special gifts! Laura Crago will be instructing the class. SheLift, a 501(c)3 organization, was born from Sarah’s love for outdoor adventures and the transformative powers of adventure. SheLift encourages girls to improve self-acceptance and confidence through outdoor adventures and body-positive mentorship. SheLift aims to normalize differences while challenging girls’ physical and emotional abilities. Dry River Brewing Opens to Public
Dry River Brewing is opening the tasting room to the public the first and third weekend of each month, Friday and Saturday, starting this Friday. You can expect six rotating taps of Dry River core and specialty brews as well as a selection of bottles.
