Yoga Expo
Ring in 2016 with a must need de-stressing sesh. The Yoga Expo invades DTLA’s Convention Center and the massive event promises over 150 yoga and meditation classes like tantric flow, kundalini, aerial fitness, cosmic sound baths, and more. Tournament of Roses
Get to Pasadena for Float decorating, Bandfest, Equestfest, Rose Parade (Friday, 8 am) and the Rose Bowl Game (Friday, 1:30 pm). Free curbside viewing of parade on first-come, first-served basis (get there early). Grandstand seats are $48-$95. Rose Bowl tickets start at $150. Fees for other events vary. National Bloody Mary Day at Public School
Public School offers $10 bottomless Mimosas, Beermosas and Micheladas alongside their Bloody Marys, which feature house-made mix spiked with chipotle sauce and sriracha, among other secret ingredients. Glasses are rimmed with Bacon Salt and garnished with house-pickled carrots, green beans and garlic as well as a fried chicken wing. It’s a whole meal.

National Bloody Mary Day at The Abbey
The famous Abbey Food + Bar in West Hollywood has six bloody Mary options, from traditional to fruity, skinny or refreshing: The Abbey’s Proud Mary is made with Absolut Vodka, muddled jalapeños, house-mary mix and hot sauce; the Mango Mary is made with Grey Goose, Citrónge Mango, house-mary mix and fresh mango; The Skinny Mary is made with Belvedere Bloody Mary and soda; The Cool Mary is made with EFFEN Cucumber Vodka, house-mary mix and cucumber; the Michelada is made with Montejo Mexican beer and house-mary mix; an the Mexi-Mary is made with Avión Blanco and house-mary mix. National Bloody Mary Day at Lamill Coffee and Boutique
While this popular Silverlake coffee stop doesn’t offer traditional bloody marys (they’re beer and wine only), those looking for a slightly more unique liquid brunch can turn to LAMILL’s Japanese-inspired Michelada, made with a house mix incorporating shiso, yuzu kosho, powdered togarashi and topped with Lefthand Brewing’s Pilsner. LAMILL also offers a Black & Black coffee cocktail, made with cold brew coffee, Victory Brewing Storm King Stout, turbinado sugar and a grapefruit twist.
