Eastside Food Festival
The second annual Eastside Food Festival is a celebration of Los Angeles’ local Eastside foodie culture. This DIY event brings together some of the best culinary minds from LA’s scene with a focus on supporting the locally owned and operated businesses. The Eastside Food Festival gives you the rare chance to meet the purveyors and experience cuisine from over 25 hand-selected vendors including Pine & Crane, Alimento, El Condor, L&E Oyster Bar, Homestate, Little Beast, Sticky Rice, Starry Kitchen, Alexander’s Greek Kitchen, Jeni’s Ice Creams, Ohana Poke Co, Dune, Little Jewell of New Orleans, Cabo Chips, Moon Juice, and more. Additionally, there will be celebrity chefs, caterers, local brands, and surprises – all native to the Eastside communities of LA. Off the Hook

Burbank Beer Festival
This October, an inaugural beer tasting and fall street fair will take over the streets of Downtown Burbank. Wally’s Beverly Hills Launches Weekly Farmer’s Market Tastings

Old Town Pasadena welcomes Sangers & Joe, a new cafe with intercontinental-inspired dishes and beverages. “Sanger,” Australian lingo for sandwiches and, “Joe,” meaning coffee come together to create a modern and airy market-style cafe featuring breakfast, lunch and brunch dishes, along with coffee, tea, and a handful of beer and wines. You will see a decor of antique elements against white subway tile and a white granite countertop, and community tables with pops of bright colors. As for the menu, Consulting Chef Claudio Dell’ Anno helped with dishes for Breakfast like Steak & Eggs, the Joe’s Scramble with fresh kale, onions, herbed tomatoes and burrata and the Breakfast Sanger, topped with scrambled eggs, melted cheese and Applewood bacon. Saturday Nights in October at One Colorado
This weekend, check out The Show Ponies, as part of One Colorado’s on-going musical lineup. This indie-folk band with old-timey and bluegrass tendencies was founded by Andi Carder (lead vocals, banjo) and Clayton Chaney (lead vocals, bass). Together they mix-and-match unique talents and trainings: singing in church and musical theater with country and folk. The two were eventually joined by three other members whose music follow a similar theme-and-variation. Guitarist Jason Harris “credits Queen for kindling his interest in Bach and Mozart.” Phil Glenn is a classically trained violin player who has a love of folk, Celtic, and roots music. And completing the roundup, Kevin Brown joined with his newly minted Masters in Percussion, infusing bluegrass and folk melodies with the rhythms of jazz, Led Zeppelin, and hip-hop.
