Winter Menu at Bagatelle West Hollywood

French-Mediterranean eatery Bagatelle West Hollywood (755 N La Cienega Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069; 310.659.3900) has unveiled its new winter dinner menu from Executive Chef Robert Liberato and it’s a must for your Friday and Saturday nights. Known for its indulgent seasonal cuisine, chic multi-room St. Tropez-meets-Paris-inspired ambiance, and infamous brunch, the restaurant’s new dinner menu has dishes that are twists on classics and you will enjoy every last bite.

We started with the Tartare de Boeuf, hand-cut filet mignon, quail egg, capers, crispy shallots, petite herbs salad; Calamari Snackés with tomato confit, baby bok choy, and garlic butter; and the most refreshing, bright crab salad with Pink Lady apple, candied pecans, and cranberries. We then shared the best scallops I have ever had (and the most beautiful). They were plated with root baby vegetables, lemon oil, and shaved heirloom carrots.

Other highlights include the Pizza a la Truffe Noire, black truffle flatbread, crème fraiche, scamorza; Poulet Rôti Entier à la Truffe – Pour Deux, whole truffled roasted chicken, baby bagatelle salad, Yukon gold potato, shallots, wild mushrooms, truffle chicken jus (serves two); and Gnocchi Truffés à la Parisienne, homemade Parisienne gnocchi, black truffle pesto filling.

Don’t forget dessert! We had the Key Lime pie and it was beautiful, artistic, creamy and a perfect end to our meal. If you really want to splurge, order the $50 sundae that comes with a sparkler and is presented in a huge martini glass.

Now, lil hint…just like the Parisian atmosphere, the dinner time is very Parisian in that they begin dinner at 10 pm. So, take your time…have a cocktail or two (they are delicious), and get ready for your meal to be a fun, late one. I like to say Bagatelle (and stk) are night clubs posing as restaurants. But, whatever they are, they are fun, exciting, and have amazing dishes to much on while you are part of the action.
