King Eddy Saloon Reopens

King Eddy Saloon, (131 E 5th St., Los Angeles, CA 90013; 213.629.2023), the bar in DTLA has been “cleaned up” by creator Jeremy Fall (Genesis, Golden Box), and is reopening tonight.

The bar has an 80’s sort of theme with neon signs, disco balls, checkered floors, black walls, and black vinyl and metal stools, and chalkboard tables. Other changes include opening at 8 pm, four nights a week and that jukebox is just for show. There’s a DJ playing new wave, rock and throwbacks.

They have also upped their beer game with cans of Golden Road, House Beer, Old Chub and Olympia, which you can sip while playing Nintendo and Sega Genesis at the bar. They also have Tangerine wheat, Stone IPA, Stella, Scrimshaw, Bas, Angry Orchard, and Guinness all on tap.
