Urban Ramen, (7300 W Sunset Blvd., Ste A, Los Angeles, CA 90046) is a new ramen spot on Sunset serving noodles until the wee hours for the Hollywood crowd. Kohei Robert, who has a fashion background, is behind the concept that includes a hedge walls on the exterior and raw materials of exposed wood beams, brick walls and metal furniture in the interior.
Executive Chef Yohei Uchida (Daikokuya, Takara) offers a menu of pork, chicken, and vegetable-based ramen along with salads, rolls and rice bowls. Popular items include the spicy miso ramen, Urban Roll with albacore, and Salmon Spicy Tuna Roll.
Come February, you can expect a full liquor license, Japanese movies playing on the large screen TVs (along with sports). Open Monday – Wednesday, 11 am-2 am, Thursday – Saturday, 11 am-3 am, and Sunday, 11 am-10 pm.
