The Horn (8933 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, CA 90069; 310.933.6678) is a steakhouse opening today with rhino deco. Open until 2 am, this spot has dark woods, red brick, green faux ostrich-hide tufted booths and a metal bar and boasts that they are the West Hollywood’s first steakhouse bar and lounge specializing in American-sourced wild game.
Executive chef Aaron Mitrano (previous sous chef to Gordon Ramsay) and manager/owner Adam Klesh (Industry Bar New York, Sidewalk Cafe New York, Tortilla Republic West Hollywood) are the team behind lunch, dinner, brunch, and late night menus that bring NY to WeHo.
Dishes include gator bites, cured meats, salads, a half roasted pig head, pork belly chili, pork belly burgers, sausage sandwiches, and for the vegetarians veggie burgers, eggplant parm and gluten-free pasta. For brunch you will find biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, steak & eggs, crab cakes and even breakfast pasta.
If you’re there late night, you can order up pizza, steak & cheese, sliders, and tacos. As for cocktails, they have the classics like a Sidecar, Sazerac, and Tom Collins. There’s also a craft section where you’ll find a Rhubarb Negroni (Botanist Gin, Aperol, sweet vermouth, gingered orange), New Fashioned (Ron Zacapa 23 Rum, honey syrup, Angostura Bitters, cherry, orange peel), and the Gentleman’s Gesture (Gentleman Jack, sweet vermouth, maraschino liqueur). In the Cali section you’ll find the Pool Party (Grey Goose Le Melo, Cointreau, Prosecco, watermelon, cantaloupe, honey dew, coconut, cucumber), Road to Vegas (Bulleit Bourbon, strawberry juice, brown sugar syrup, cinnamon bitters, fresh mint), August in LA (Ketel Oranje or Bushmill’s Irish Whiskey, espresso, condensed milk), and The The Desert (Don Julio Blanco, cactus water, pineapple, cilantro, lime).
