Mangia Italian Countryside Eatery, (30745 Pacific Coast Hwy Unit R4, Malibu, CA 90265) is a new Italian restaurant in the Trancas Country Mart in Malibu and they are serving up pizza, antipasto salads and pastas. Decorated with colorful umbrellas on their large patio, Mangia has an equally as large menu with family-style servings and dishes like bruschetta; salads with baby spinach, herb grilled Portobello mushrooms, Gorgonzola cheese, crispy bacon with a honey balsamic vinaigrette; homemade butternut squash ravioli in a butter and Parmiggiano sauce; risotto with shaved black truffles; 12-inch Italian pizzas cooked in an imported Italian wood fire oven; and even New York style pizzas that come in an 18-inch option. Save room for homemade freshly baked desserts like Bignola, a baked cream puff filled with vanilla, chocolate cream, or strawberries and cream.
