Zoey Van Jones

When I walked into Zoey Van Jones (45 E Union St., Pasadena, CA 91103; 626.683.3308) to get my eyebrows shaped, I was over come by a positive, vibrant energy. Everyone was happy to be there and work there and when I met Zoey, I realized why. Zoey is someone who makes you feel beautiful and makes her stylists feel important. She and her brow salon are a breath of fresh here in Los Angeles, where many places take themselves very seriously. Zoey is a mixture of a master’s degree and rock-n-roll and it’s just what you need when shaping your brows. Her background includes MAC Cosmetics, being an apprentice in Beverly Hills and opened BrauHaus Salon, which was rebranded into Zoey Van Jones – Brow Salon, that specializes in eyebrow shaping, waxing and make up services.

Zoey Van Jones has launched their product line in 2012 with a eyebrow shaping stencil kit and now it includes brow shadow duos and double ended slant brush. This year, they are launching the precision tweezers. Zoey Van Jones was also chosen as one of five businesses showcased in the Wells Fargo Works Project, an online video series showing small businesses who are working with Wells Fargo to get to their goals. This has definitely put the salon on the map, so keep your eyes open for big things from Zoey Van Jones.

When I sat down with Zoey, her warm personality made me want to stay a while. She took her time with me and explained the different shades we could choose for tinting my brows and how to shape my eyebrows at home. (You can learn here, how to enhance your eyebrows). I love how she and her stylists are into sexy, big brows because she didn’t take too much off, it was simply shaping them. More than the fact that I felt beautiful when I left, I was struck by how Zoey made everyone feel special. From the little girl waiting for her mom (who received glitter on her eye lids), to her stylists who work beside her, Zoey has time for everyone and everyone deserves to feel and look their best.
