If you are an Angeleno (which I think most of you are), you need to know Sand Cloud. Founded in 2014 right here in SoCal, it’s a brand that is all about ultimate comfort and good vibes. (Who doesn’t want that)? The team is comprised of 3 best friend/beach bums who live in San Diego, and love the simple life along the coast. Brandon and Steven have been roommates since their college days at San Diego State University, and they met Bruno right after moving to Pacific Beach.
Recently graduated, the idea for the Sand Cloud towel came when one of the founders was trying to take a nap on the beach, while using his backpack as a pillow. Unable to get comfortable, they knew there had to be a better way to relax on the beach. They developed a towel that works for all surfaces.
I came across the Sand Cloud, which is 100% Turkish Cotton, at the perfect time. I recently moved to Venice Beach and was on the beach, saying how I wish I had a pillow. No less than a week later, Sand Cloud is in my life and being used on many different occasions. I use it at the beach, at out door movies (Los Angeles summer staple), on lounge chairs and even just as a pillow.
The specialized beach towel includes a removable, cylinder pillow and the towels are handwoven and eco friendly. I love how the Sand Cloud is light, easy to pack and quick drying (becoming softer with each wash). Plus, they give 10% of net profits to several foundations that support the preservation of Marine Life! It’s all about those good vibes.
