If you don’t know what a Ramen Burger is, get out from under your rock. The phenomenon of placing burgers in between ramen buns happened a few months ago and, well, has stuck around. Soft opened last night, Ramen Burger (239 S Vermont Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90004) in Koreatown is serving up chef Keizo Shimamoto’s original New York invention. It all goes down at a K-town takeout window next to Lock & Key. (You can get the burger at Lock & Key too).
In addition to the burger, there’s a sriracha-spiked ramen burger, a veggie ramen burger, a salmon ramen burger and ramen fries. So, there is a theme here.
