Brilliantshine, (522 Wilshire Blvd., Santa Monica, CA) the rustic, flagship bar and restaurant from Soigné Group’s Julian Cox and Josh Goldman is opening tomorrow in the courtyard of the former Renee’s in Santa Monica. The place is getting the title of saloon, with decor including a vintage piano, copper tables, and, of course, saloon doors. Cocktails are international influenced and have a focus on whiskey. They will also have craft, small-production spirits, fortified wines, and craft beers.
Richie Lopez (Paiche) is behind the comfort food with a Peruvian twist. The seasonal cuisine includes red snapper crudo with citrus soy sauce, peaches and yuzu kosho; a sea urchin rice with lobster; and a pork belly and beet hash with a poached egg and baby friseé.
Open Tuesday-Sunday, 5 pm-2 am, with a late night menu running from 11 pm-1 am. Brunch is served Saturday & Sunday, 9 am-2:30 pm.
