I checked out the Sunday Funday package (starting at $200/night, double occ.) with a $75 savings and includes $30 food and beverage credit to The Roof on Wilshire to be used during your stay; a coffee maker and coffee delivered to your room (because you’ll probably miss our Kimpton coffee hour); a hangover kit including a rejuvenating eye mask, electrolyte enhanced water, protein bars and a $15 gift card to In-‘n-Out. Book online or call 866.650.2154 and mention rate code PUSN.

The Sunday Funday package is the most fun I have had during a staycation. The front desk staff welcomed us with a smile and were so knowledgable and accommodating. After we checked in, we made sure to get to the daily happy hour with free wine, a house cocktail and a heated game of scrabble (there are other games available too). That night we had dinner on the roof and munched on my favorite, Nori Nachos along with Brussels sprouts with bacon. I know Eric Greenspan is known for his Pancake Lasagna, but Nori Nachos are pure genius. Served with rice crackers, it’s a stack of salmon roe, avocado, and sushi tuna. We continued our party in the room with more snacks and wine.

The next morning we definitely needed that water and protein bars before we had a true Sunday Funday on the roof. We had a few carafes of mimosas, the egg sandwich and the egg white scramble. I love how the menu has something everyone, from a vegetable quiche to a waffle Benedict to Eric Greenspan’s signature Pancake Lasagna. Plus, the breathtaking view can’t be beat. It’s a quiet break from the city with views of the hills with amazing food and oldies playing over the sound system. If you need a little break, I highly recommend the Sunday Funday package. You’ll feel like yourself again in no time…after a lil’ fun.
