West Third street now has Blue Plate Oysterette, (8048 W 3rd St., Los Angeles, CA 90048) the sister of Santa Monica’s original location. Designed by Tim Clarke, it has an airy, welcoming, relaxed space with a patio full of striped chairs and tables that have maps on them. There’s also a sleek white bar with blue tufted leather stools. It’s very “west Hollywood meets the beach.”
As for food, they have basket of fried clams, whole steamed Maine lobster, fresh oysters (of course), sandwiches, salads, and hot plates.
Open daily from 11:30 am-11 pm.
