Zinc Cafe (580 Mateo St., Los Angeles, CA 90013) is adding to the hustle and bustle of the DTLA Arts District. Opening May 19, it’s a spot with an open kitchen, simple tables and chairs, bookshelves, a courtyard and a back room with cocktails. Los Angeles keeps their coffee spots pretty much separate from their wine bars, but this spot combines both. It’s perfect for breakfast and glass of wine (maybe not at the same time).
As you would have guessed, you can expect any type of coffee/espresso drink along with eggs, quiche, baked goods, and a few different types of oatmeal. Lunch includes sandwiches, salads, wood-fired pizzettes and specialties like burritos, quesadillas, and tostadas.
Open from 7 am-6 pm, with dinner service coming soon.
