Playa Provisions (119 Culver Blvd., Playa del Rey, CA 90293) is an eatery, bar and ice cream shop that’s right by the beach, from Brooke Williamson and Nick Roberts. Designed by Glen Bell Dex Studio (Tripel, Alibi Room) the space brings together the forest and the beach.
King Beach, is the casual, airy, daytime cafe where you can order up prepared salads like quinoa with white corn or smoked potato, or tuna with white beans, along with sandwiches like the roasted chicken and brie served on ciabatta, the house tuna conserva with bread & butter pickles, celery leaves, and gruyere or the dry-aged ribeye patty melt . Either way you go, everything is fresh!
Small Batch is where you want to go to cure your sweet tooth. There are the ice creams in flavors like Thai Iced Tea and Chocolate Malted Crunch made in house and served in sundaes, shakes, and cookie sandwiches. And popsicles in flavors like horchata-blackberry. Pastries are prepared by Bake Lab and include cinnamon rolls, raspberry almond galettes, shark attack cupcakes, funfetti cakes and banana cream pies. Pair your fave with coffee, tea or one of their espresso drinks.
Dockside, will be ready to serve dinner and weekend brunch in about two weeks. Grain, the whiskey bar hidden in the back room will be ready to serve in mid-June.
