Downtown is really making strides in the retail market. In addition to Downtown Flea and the Arts District Flea on Colton, get ready for Artists & Fleas (647 Mateo St., Los Angeles, CA 90021), a legendary New York-based bazaar that’s hitting the streets of DTLA in a week or so.
If all goes well, founders Amy Abrams and Ronen Glimer plan to make Artists & Fleas a monthly market for art, design, fashion and food lovers. Expect vendors like earthy jewelry from LA’s own Nina Savill, re-worked vintage from Fair Season Vintage and reclaimed furniture from MFEO. As for food and drinks, you can expect Zugo Liquitarian, a beer garden and a DJ booth with live sets throughout the day.
