Milton Sznaider‘s Madera Kitchen (1835 N Cahuenga Blvd., Los Angeles, 90028) is serving up Mediterranean plates with a rustic decor of yellow banquettes, a wooden ceiling, and a Mediterranean mosaic tiled bar. They are serving a menu including small plates like chickpea fritters with cilantro, yogurt and pickled shallot; grilled oysters with black kale, golden raisins and pinenut breadcrumbs; and entrees like farro stew with wild mushroom, green garlic, fava beans, and pecorino. There’s also pasta dishes like buckwheat chitarra with a poached egg, black garlic, red walnuts and pecorino and flat breads like fingerling potato, roasted garlic, burrata, black pepper and rosemary.
