Hero Shop (130 E 6th St., Los Angeles, 90014) comes from Chef Eric Park and partner Jonathan Kim of Black Hogg in Silver Lake. The small space with a simple layout is serving up a menu of banh mi like the headcheese (with house marinated pork headcheese, house paté, cilantro, jalapenos, daiken relish, marinated onion, fish sauce vinaigrette and mayo), sambal broccoli (with sambal roasted broccoli, raisins, almonds, fish sauce vinaigrette, mayo, shaved onion, daikon relish, and cilantro), blood sausage and peppers, and fatty brisket. They also have rice bowls of the BBQ pork, blood sausage and peppers, and fatty brisket and hey can be made into salads. Open 10:30 am-4:30 pm. (but will expand in the future).
