Good Times at Davey Wayne’s, (1611 N El Centro Ave., Los Angeles, 90028) is a new bar named after The Houston Brothers’ (La Descarga, No Vacancy) father. Enter through a 1970’s garage sale with the door going through a vintage refrigerator. Inside, you’ll find a small bar filled with tchotchkes and other items you would find in your parents house about four decades ago. As for drinks, you’ll find classics like Old Fashioneds on tap and specialties like Some People Call Me Maurice, (a mezcal Grasshopper). There’s also eight beers on tap and backyard barbecues firing up brisket and pulled pork sandwiches. Open daily from 4 pm-2 am on weekdays, and starting at 2 pm on weekends.
