Flavors of Los Angeles 2014 is a unique and memorable fine-dining event, which includes a five-course gourmet dinner prepared table side by one of the city’s most notable chefs.
Now celebrating their eighth year, Flavors of Los Angeles 2014 and hosted by the Greater Los Angeles Division of the American Liver Foundation, the event will include: Christophe Happillon, Maître Écailler and Owner of the Oyster Gourmet; Shigefumi Tachibe, Corporate Executive Chef of The Chaya Restaurant Group; Collin Crannell, Executive Chef of The Lobster; Mirko Paderno, Executive Chef at Livello at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills & Oliverio at the Avalon; David Iino, Executive Chef and Owner of SALT Restaurant; Matthew Woolf, Executive Chef of Palihouse; Kevin Meehan, Executive Chef and Owner of Kali Dining; Wonny Lee, Executive Chef of Hamasaku; Phillip Frankland Lee, Executive Chef and Owner of Scratch Bar; Perry Cheung, Executive Chef and Owner of Phorage; and Freddy Vargas, Executive Chef of Scarpetta at The Montage Beverly Hills.
This year’s event begins with a special cocktail reception featuring tray-passed hors d’oeuvres and Christophe Happillon, who is known as the Oyster Gourmet. Happillon, a Maître Écailler who specializes in the freshest and finest oysters around, will be serving his famous oysters during the pre-dinner cocktail reception from 5:30-7 pm. Complimenting the oysters will be perfectly paired chilled shots of American Harvest Organic Vodka, along with specialty hand-crafted cocktails made with American Harvest Organic Vodkaand Barenjager, as well as some specially selected wines from Kiamie Wine Cellars and Vina Sympatica.
Following the cocktail reception, you will be seated at your individual tables of twelve, where you will join by a personal Chef for the evening. Each course will also be paired with wines selected by each host restaurant to perfectly compliment each dish. Musical entertainment will be provided throughout the evening, and this year’s host and MC will be Chef Sharone Hakman from FOX’s hit show MasterChef.
