Jackson Pollock & Ansel Adams Art At The Getty Center
Two of the biggest names in American art (and my favorite artists) come together under one roof. See Jackson Pollock’s newly restored Mural and the In Focus: Ansel Adams. Young Literati’s Sixth Annual Toast
Raise a glass to Young Literati, a group of culturally connected Angelenos in their 20s, 30s, and 40s on a mission to increase support and awareness of LA’s public libraries. Young Literariti’s Sixth Annual Toast is curated by Amanda Fairey, Shepard Fairey, Moby, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Busy Phillips, while guest readers include Nick Kroll, Jason Reitman, and Lizzy Caplan. There’s also a live DJ set by Shepard Fairey, cocktails from Las Perlas and Seven Grand, among others and a musical performance from Jenny Lewis and Johnathan Rice. Noir City: 16th Annual Festival of Film Noir

With the anticipation of over 2000 LA-based artists lining up at Barnsdall Park, this event could be life changing for some. Competing to exhibit their work in a public forum, the work chosen will be showcased at LAMAG from March 30-April 12 in the newly reconfigured 10,000 square foot art space. As LA’s only municipal art gallery, Barnsdall is truly the “People’s Park” as the City’s primary exhibition venue offering free admission to all.
