Katana (8439 West Sunset Blvd., West Hollywood, 90069; 323.650.8585) honors certified A5-grade Japanese Wagyu beef with a weeklong specialty menu featuring the sought-after beef from Saga Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan. From Monday, March 3 through Sunday, March 9, order various preparations and cuts. Wagyu highlights include Toban-yaki-style (grilled over hot stones), Saga Sliders, tartare, and a tasting of various 2 oz. cuts side-by-side. The restaurant, renowned for its Robata offerings and elegant sushi bar, will also offer an assortment of Wagyu skewers, grilled over white-hot bincho tan coals, and raw sushi-style cuts, such as “Nigiri, “Tataki,” and “Gunkan.” The full Katana menu will also be available.
