East Borough Launches Happy Hour & Brunch

East Borough, (9810 Washington Blvd., Culver City, 90232; 310.596.8263) the new “Fraîche Vietnamese” restaurant in Culver City is launching brunch. Executive Chef Chloe Tran, and Co-Founder and General Manager John Cao created the weekend menu, which features Egg Banh Mi with scrambled eggs, French baguette, cilantro, cucumbers, and chili; Pan Perdu (Vietnamese French toast) with custard, French baguette, Saigon cinnamon, sweetened condensed milk, and kumquat marmalade; Oxtail Daikon Hash with braised oxtail, daikon hash, chili, bok choy, two fried eggs, and Sriracha hoisin aioli; and Pho with beef brisket, green onions, cilantro, bean sprouts, and Thai basil.

East Borough’s version of Happy Hour named Communal Hour offers a moderately priced menu that includes Daikon Frites with Sriracha hoisin aioli; Grilled Pork Bahn Mi with cucumbers, cilantro, pickles, chili, and aioli; Imperial Rolls (fried pork & taro rolls) with herbs, and nuoc mam; Kale Salad with toasted coconut, pickled mango, and cashews; Vermicelli Stir Fry with bok choy, black bean sauce, and samba;Salt & Pepper Squid with fresno chili, rau ram, and pickled lime aioli; andPork Belly & Egg with pickled mustard greens and jasmine rice. A beer and wine list is also offered during Communal Hour.

Brunch: Saturday-Sunday, 11:30 am-3 pm

Communal Hours: Daily, 3-6 pm Daily; Sunday-Wednesday, 9 pm-close ; Thursday-Saturday, 9:30 pm-close
