Patina Restaurant Group has opened C+M (Coffee and Milk) (Westwood Gateway, 11111 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90025) at the Westwood Gateway business complex and is serving up seasonal offerings of coffee, milk treats and baked goods. This is the third location for the artisanal craft coffeehouse that brings together Chef and Founder of Patina Restaurant Group Joachim Splichal, Pastry Chef Carlos Enriquez, and Gregg Wiele, Corporate Executive Chef of Patina Restaurant Group.
They use Intelligensia beans that are roasted locally and brewed in a La Marzocco espresso machine for their Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha, Americano, and Macchiato. Customize your drink with an array of syrups like vanilla, cinnamon, chocolate, and caramel for traditionalists. They also have Chai Spiced Syrup which is infused with whole cinnamon, cloves, star anise, fennel, cardamom, black pepper, and ginger; or Lavender Syrup.
Milk gets the same amount of attention as coffee. Order up Shakes, including their popular Cheesecake option. All milk products offered onsite feature the signature invention of “Milk Sorbet”– Straus Family Creamery cream and milk, organic sugar and Tahitian vanilla bean. You can find the vanilla milk sorbet in the “Milkwiches” where it’s pressed between two house-made cookies.
Food items include Croissant Sandwiches with scrambled egg, smoked cheddar cheese, choice of bacon or sausage or Yogurt Parfaits available in both vanilla or Greek. There are also healthy options like Egg White and Mushroom Sandwich or Oatmeal with brown sugar, cranberries, and sliced almonds. For more lunch, grab the Oven-Roasted Turkey Club with applewood bacon, Emmental cheese, smoked cheddar, vine-ripened tomatoes, butter lettuce and garlic confit aioli on pan au lait; and the Flatbread with grilled zucchini, pickled cucumbers, Alfalfa sprouts, charred eggplant spread, and feta white bean spread. Sweet treats by Pastry Chef Carlos Enriquez include the restaurant group’s signature Macaroons, Cookies, Brownies, Rice Krispy Treats, Blondies, and the popular BTO’s (Better Than Oreo).
