The Hook & Plow, (425 Pier Ave., Hermosa Beach) is a beach side place that’s soft open with by Brian Kelleher and wife Bre, along with twin sisters Lisa and Lauren Cassity. This family-run seafood bistro is serving a limited menu right now, but will be serving a full menu of starters, sandwiches, and seafood plates next week.
Chef Johnny Lopez is cooking up The Burger with Applewood smoked bacon tomato jam, Crispy onions, Gorgonzola cream, lettuce, fresh baked brioche bun; The 30 H (Craft beer braised pulled pork, Napa house slaw in a peppercorn mango chutney); Beef Dip with Havarti cheese, horseradish cream, caramelized onions, beef au jus; Furikake House Fries with house made seaweed seasoning with Parmesan cheese and dipping sauce, wholegrain aioli and house ketchup; Scallop & Pork belly “BLT”; Braised Short Ribs with Yukon whipped potatoes, baby veggies, red wine demi; The Rib Eye 14oz with Moody blue cheese Pâté, frazzled onions, baby carrots, broccolini; Steamer Bucket for 2 with Dungeoness Crab legs, pacific mussels, shrimp, corn on the cob, andouille sausage, herb garlic crostini; and House cured salmon bites.
Open 4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday and at 11:30 am, Friday-Sunday.
