Mondo Taco (2200 Colorado Ave., Santa Monica, 90404; 310.310.8922) has opened up their second spot, that’s double the size of its La Brea location. Santa Monica is now home to handmade tortillas and unique fillings. Founded by Sam Spector (The Culver Hotel), you can enjoy menu highlights like Angry Chicken Taco (Crispy chicken with hot sauce and blue cheese); Beefeater Taco with braised short rib and horseradish slaw; Car-Neato Taco with pulled pork and salsa verde; Hawaii 5-OH! Taco with pineapple, peppers, onions, mushrooms, provolone cheese and clove; and Taj Mahal Taco with coconut shrimp, curry sauce and dried red bell pepper. And here, you can wash it down with a beer (or a glass of wine).
