Glazed Donut Bistro (8807 Santa Monica Blvd., West Hollywood, 90069), this shop is an “adult” donut shop in West Hollywood. They are serving sweet and savory donuts that they pair with the perfect sauce, just in time for Valentine’s Day.
You can go the fried dough route for lunch like a Monte Cristo sandwich (ham and Gruyère in yeast donut dough), fried chicken beignets, Shrimp roll (their take on a New England Lobster Roll…lightly dressed jumbo shrimp served on a lightly sweet long john with french fries or a salad) and Missed Piggy (brioche donut sliders filled with barbecued pulled pork).
Of course, they have sweet donuts too. Flavors include Happy Happy Almond Joy (chocolate cake donut, dipped in a fresh coconut glaze and topped with crunchy almond coconut clusters), Blueberry Cheesecake Crumb (A handcrafted yeast raised donut, glazed with a light, market fresh blueberry glaze, topped with streusel crumbs and filled with a blueberry cream cheese filling), I’m Shipping Out to Boston (handcrafted Bismark donut and fill it with a sweet vanilla pastry cream, dipped in a rich Callebaut chocolate ganache and garnished it with shaved flakes of white chocolate), and Brown Butter Maple Bacon (yeast raised donut, dipped in house-made brown butter maple glaze, and topped with crispy, thick cut maple bacon).
