Lucky Duck by Square One (2630 Hyperion Ave., Los Angeles, 90027; 323.686.6304) is the newest seasonal Cali spot from Square One and Gingergrass owner John Himelstein and partners Manao Davidson and D’nell Larson. The intimate 40-seat restaurant has Bryan Stevens (Water Grill, Gingergrass) in the kitchen and is currently only open for dinner. The menu features New American plates made with farmers market ingredients like Hachiya persimmon with coffee and mizuna; a grass-finished beef ribeye from DeyDey ranch topped with a bone marrow and herb salad; farro fettuccine pesto with flageolet beans; and a DeyDey ranch burger with smoked Gouda, harissa aioli and a beef tomato. Local wine guru, Lou Amdur, curated the restaurant’s wine list. Open Wednesday-Monday, 5:30-10: 30 pm.
