Local Table (800 S Figueroa St., Los Angeles, 90017) opened on Figueroa and 8th in Downtown’s Financial District and they are serving up a mix of healthy salads, sandwiches, and plates in a casual, quick, counter service that serves all day. The simple space has a faux Downtown skyline in the back and hanging votives.
Breakfast items include acai bowls, yogurt bowls, omelets, smoothies, and cold-pressed juices. Flavors of cold-pressed juices include Strawberry Fields (strawberry, apple, lime) and Green Lemonade (kale, watercress, apple, lemon, and turmeric root), and smoothies come in Hydrate (prickly pear, pineapple, papaya) and Pre-Workout Beets (roasted beet, banana, berries, honey, protein powder). Handsome Coffee provides espresso, cold brew, and drip coffee and teas come from Mariage Freres. For lunch, there’s light dishes like crispy chicken rice noodles, turkey apple sandwich, and California black cod served with a warm beet salad.
